GO Ministries

In GO Ministries we strive to be a safe and engaging community for kids to develop an authentic faith in Jesus through worship, small groups, and service.
We strive for your child to develop an authentic faith in Jesus. An individual with this faith in Jesus is called a disciple. We seek to live out the great commission Jesus gave us to “go and make disciples”. That is why we are called “GO Ministries”, because we are seeking to partner with Jesus in His mission to make disciples in your family.

We endeavor to live out this mission through Sunday morning worship and small groups that are catered to your child’s developmental phase, in order that he or she experiences safety and engagement. This being said, we recognize that we only get about one hour a week with your child. Thus, we want to partner with you, the child’s family, to equip and empower you to help shape this authentic faith in Jesus in your family throughout the week.

Contact Josh and Miriam Burns for more information or to get involved.

CHILD PROTECTION POLICY:

Deer Creek Church is committed to providing a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for youth and children. All adults who are involved in activities with minors must be screened. We contract with Christian Background Checks to provide national background checks on all adults involved with children.

Check-In and Check-Out Procedure:

Another layer of our safety procedures is the Check-In System. This system is in place to provide a safe way to keep track of the children in our care on Sunday’s as well as who we are releasing your children to at the end of service.

This is done through checking in your kiddos at the beginning of service and walking them to their classroom at one of our check-in stations. After service come with your security label, that you receive when checking your child in, to check them out.  An adult must check out the child. That means that you need to keep your security label with you. (An easy way to do this is just stick it to your own shirt or pants.) Small Group Leaders cannot release the children without first seeing the security label that matches the child’s name tag.

If your family's information is not in the system, please fill out check-in sheet (located at each check-in station) and hand it to the children's supervisor that service.  Thank you so much for joining with us to uphold a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for the children of our Deer Creek Church Family!
