SHIFT Student Ministries
Our ministry to 6th-12th grade students is called SHIFT Ministries – where we hope to see students make a shift in their understanding of their faith as something personal and powerful for their ever-changing lives.
We are a group of students and leaders who aren’t perfect and don’t pretend to be who are reaching up in worship, reaching in to build community, and reaching out to serve the world. It’s our hope that every student, no matter their background or beliefs, will come as they are to be a part of our community. And it’s our prayer that every single student will not leave how they came – that we are all being transformed through knowing and following Jesus. We’re learning how to do this together in community, and love having new students come and join us in this journey!

MEETING TIMES AND LOCATIONS:
Both the middle-school (6th-8th grade) and high-school (9th-12 grade) groups meet from 6:30-8:30PM on Wednesday evenings in the downstairs youth area at DCC. We gather together for worship as a united community and then split for separate times of games, teaching, and discussion groups.
The last Wednesday of each month is a community night, where we spend the evening playing games as a community. These nights are from 6:30-8:30 PM and are ideal nights to invite friends and new students to SHIFT Student Ministries.
The best and most important place to connect is through a small-group community. Each group has a different emphasis, but all our groups are about connecting students together and taking that next step in their relationship with God. You can find our list of student's small groups here. These groups meet collectively on Sunday mornings during our small group seasons in the downstairs cafe before splitting into their different areas.
All students and leaders are invited to go out for lunch on the 1st Sunday of the Month after the service (12:30 - 1:30 PM) with the DCC Youth Ministry. This meal is an extension of our communion meal that we share together as a church family. Simply meet in the lobby right after 2nd service to join. Lunch is free for anyone new to our community!
